Situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver, GBL Architects’ design of 8X on the Park will continue to help shape the city scape of the downtown core.  This 35 storey residential tower will offer over 200 luxury units with a definitive upscale architectural design featuring over 31,000 sq ft of 8mm EQUITONE [tectiva] high density fiber cement.  The design incorporates a staggered running bond vertical joint using panels measuring 190mm x 1500mm laid out in a horizontal fashion as it climbs up the building.  The use of two different colours within the panel layout accentuates the natural variation within the Tectiva, which always has a directional linen sanded finish.  Face fastened colour matched rivets will be used to attach the facade panels in this complex downtown project that Keith Panel Systems will be installing.  Ledcor is the construction manager on the project with completion expected sometime in 2020.
