John Kubassek President
Architects and Owners call John because of his unique background. Design, supplying and installing cladding systems of all types on all types of buildings. John led the Architectural Products Division at Semple Gooder for 9 years, expanding that division 10 fold in his tenure. John’s depth is in the field - with years of hands on experience as tradesperson, super and advisor on some of the most exciting jobs in the Ontario region. John’s strong values in partnership, collaboration and value in people form the foundations upon which the company continues to grow.
Blair Davies Vice President and General Manager
Blair has grown businesses working with and for designers in technical products for 22+ years. He leads Engineered Assemblies growth plans in sales, market and product planning. Blair brings a practical sense of what can be done based on technical, manufacturing and engineering experience, including a UWaterloo Civil Engineering background. Blair has a keen sense of networking and strategy and uses these abilities to reach out to people who can help to grow Engineered Assemblies’ value for Customers.
Carlos Tavaras Controller
Carlos manages the financial side of the business. He brings a strong background in the building industry, and other complementary industries. Carlos manages all A/P and A/R issues, leads the EA team to improve operational performance.
Eric Bursa Operations and Project Management
Eric has had 20+ years in metal cladding systems at Rheinzink America, Peerless, Vicwest, and LorLea Steels. His depth is in working with clients, the factory and the sites to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery. His most recent experience as the Rheinzink Regional Technical Sales Manager in Eastern Canada has earned him respect with the leading Architects who have tackled complex zinc projects with Eric’s assistance.
Collette Hart Sales Coordinator
A “MacGyver” of problem solving is a fitting description for Collette. She brings her quick and creative thinking to the table to resolve all issues. Collette enjoys the process of getting a job done and keeping all parties satisfied. Collette brings her environmental dedication to this private firm after serving the property management clients of The GTA with their waste and recycling needs. She was schooled in the industry from a multi-national waste firm, Waste Management and followed that with a tenure at Toronto’s Wasteco. Prior to that Collette co-owned and managed her family’s 15-year company “Collette’s Gift Baskets” providing corporate gift baskets to a varied clientele. Her studies at Mount Allison University in Commerce and English help to balance out her business education.
Steve Vann Order Desk
Steve has operated in the construction industry for 30 years, most of which has been in metal roofing and cladding. He has operated in the field as a tradesperson, selling to architects and in operations. This wide background brings value to clients in managing customer contracts with Sales and successfully managing the material purchasing side of operations with Project Management. Steve has been a member of CSC and TCA for many years.

Alex joins EA with significant experience estmating, selling and leading organizations in the facade and roofing industry.
