What it is

Agrob Buchtal brings fine ceramic engineering to the ventilated rainscreen façade. The result can be simple terra cotta colour that matches local brick, into and through to complex artistic facade projects. This has been done for decades around the world - proven beauty and durability.

Agrob Buchtal brings choices of materials and configurations from:

• rectangular overlapping panels
• square flat tiles in configurations up to 120cm square
• elongated pieces used for over curtainwall, for corners, or special design
• unlimited configurations

Agrob Buchtal is a ceramic, not a terra cotta or a clay tile. So with lighter stronger panels ventilated rainscreen facades are constructed in ways other systems cannot be built.

What do I do now?

Agrob Buchtal is suitable for large, tall and medium buildings. The system can be assembled for re-skinning existing buildings or creating new striking facades on new projects.

Think of the kind of look you are trying to achieve. Panels can be square or rectangular in a wide range of sizes. For sustainability, we recommend cutting to create as little waste as possible. The colour choice are vast and the durability is excellent. Fasteners are hidden.

Engineered Assemblies will work with you to detail the building. Common rainscreen details are shown in the planning guide. Joints above below and between panels are left open. Joints between panels can have trims for aesthetics. Steel or aluminum girts are used.

On commercial jobs the typical approach is to design the architectural view and details needed for tendering. Upon award EA provides stamped shop drawings and construction drawings so the installer can get to work. EA project manages the job to fulfill the needs of the installation company
